As Mentioned in image about ServiceTax for CreditCard payments.
Do we need to pay extra amount other than 35 rupees if amount more than 5000.
Please state how much ServiceTax will they deduct if premium amount is 15000

    • Ritz P says:

If you are paying by credit card, Rs. 35 will be charged as convenience fee if the premium is above Rs. 5000.

Service Tax depends on the product. Please go through the below mentioned link for better understanding

Thank u for quick and reliable reply

      • Thread Stone says:

Is service tax percentage based on premium amount(i.e 15000 Rs) or convenience fee (i.e 35 Rs).
Because according to the above pdf its says 10% to 12% and this will be huge if it is on premium amount

        • Ritz P says:

It is not on the convenience fee. Its not 10-12% for every policy. Its different for different products. It also varies on the fact, whether you are paying 1st Premium or Renewal premium.

I suggest you the best way

When you will enter the details of credit card to pay the premium amount, it will show you the service tax and convenience fee amount. After that, it will ask you to proceed. You will come to know, how much service tax is being charged.
